Nike Collabs
Nike collaborations
Nike is more than just the swoosh on your football shirt or imprint on your Air Max sneakers. Nike’s DNA is built around collaboration; from their very first silhouette, the timeless Cortez, Bill Bowerman and Phil Knight have been on a mission to elevate athletic culture while cooperating with the stars we idolize to reinvent perspectives on lifestyle. You may be 4ft 9″ tall and hate basketball, but you secretly admire Nike’s longtime collaboration with Michael Jordan. Sport, fashion and music are now all synchronous thanks to Nike’s groundbreaking work with these different industries.
Off-White x Nike
Superstar DJ and designer Virgil Abloh has reimagined the Air Jordan 1 for his Off-White x Nike “The 10” collection. The deconstructed black and red Jumpmans, which once were banned from the NBA for not passing the 51% uniform rule, go for $2,000+. Kanye West’s Yeezy line with Adidas originally started as a trainer collab with Nike. Dating back to 2009, the musical maverick made some interesting shoe models. Kanye has persisted with using Adidas’ technology; although you will still find it difficult to find an original pair of “Air Yeezys” for any less than $1,500.
Some of Nike’s best collaborations
The Air Max 97/1 hybrid by Sean Wotherspoon was one of the most celebrated collaborations last year, showing just how open Nike is to collaborate with everyone. Wotherspoon owns American chain store Round 2, and fans had to chase a Camper-van around the streets of New York hoping to collect packets of cards that would redeem them as a fair alternative to cuing outside Kith’s store.
High-end brands x Nike
We also have seen multiple successful collabs with supreme featuring the Nike Dunk Low and Nike Dunk High. And not to forget the first camp-out for the staple pigeon in New York City that is worth over $30.000 USD that started it all. Nowadays, we see the Dior and Louis Vuitton collabs. So we also see high-end designer brands jumping in on the sneaker culture.

Nike will always be releasing collaborations with other brands, artists, and skateshops.
