With the Air Max 1’s popularity on the rise, this specific model cannot be left out with getting a retro. One aspect of the shoe has been getting smaller, it being the size of the air bubble. Tinker Hatfield’s wild vision of exposing the Air unit meant go big or go home, and the original Air Max 1 design sure did that. But with the time, the air bubble shrunk significantly. But now we are getting the OG air bubble and OG color.
What makes the Air Max 1 ’86 GS ‘Big Bubble’ so special?
As said above, this time around we will be getting an OG colorway of the Air Max 1 with it being the red and white colorway. Also, we get the OG big bubble air unit as how it was back in the days. The first Air Max 1 was officially released back in 1987 while production started in 1986 and now making a return with the bigger air unit. This release is probably making a grand appearance on Air Max Day.
