What makes the April Skateboards x Nike SB Dunk Low so special?

The April Skateboards x Nike SB Dunk Low draws inspiration from two previous sneakers: the Diamond Supply x Nike SB Dunk Low “Tiffany” and the Air Jordan 1 “Turbo Green.” Like the former, it features metallic silver Swooshes; like the latter, it borrows its lace eyelets and perforated suede overlays from that shoe. The pair also includes “April” branding on its heel; an original graphic appears on its outsole. In addition, an F&F colorway of the same model is scheduled to release soon. It will likely be given to close friends of Yuto Horigome, Yosef Ratleff, Noah Nayef and others. This pair has light purple overlays as well as rose chrome detailing.

On 8 June 2018, skateboarder Shane O’Neill announced via his Instagram account that he was leaving Primitive Skateboarding to start his own company. On 5 May 2019, O’Neill announced via Instagram that April Skateboards would be his new venture. As of 2022, the team consists of O’Neill and professional skateboarders Guy Mariano, Yuto Horigome, Ish Cepeda, and Rayssa Leal.
