Yuto Horigome x Dunk Low SB

Seen as the Japan’s best export in the skateboarding scene, Yuto Horigome showed exactly why he claimed the gold medal in men’s skateboarding at the Olympics in Tokyo back in 2021. This was the first time that skateboarding was included as an Olympic sport. The hometown hero is also in partnership with Nike SB. With his global success and growing cachet, the two have united on this upcoming Yuto Horigome x Nike SB Dunk Low for 2023.

What makes the Yuto Horigome x Dunk Low SB so special?

While the pair’s official story is yet to be revealed, the Horigome team has made sure that quality and craftsmanship are key factors in this design. The upper is made from supple white leathers and soft mid-grey suedes, while pops of chocolate and pastel pinks ring up the rear. The rubber outsole completes the look; A cross-feather embroidered mark lands on the lateral ankle, while the team roder’s name appears below the Nike SB motif on at the tongue; The pair is then completed by special sky lantern-like insole graphics to complete the design.

Yuto Horigome

It’s not uncommon for parents to introduce their kids to skateboarding. When Yuto Horigome first went to plazas and parks with his father, who is a street skater himself, in Tokyo, Japan, things weren’t intended to be more than father-son bonding. That dynamic changed quickly when Yuto started to not only progress rapidly in the park but also on the streets. At 20 years old, Yuto’s tech prowess and ability to casually spin 540s on vert have everyone onboard with the quiet face of skateboarding’s future. Now he has won a gold medal in the Tokyo Olympics in 2021.
