Since their initial Air Jordan collaboration in 2018, Union Los Angeles has consistently set the highest standards. The subsequent projects, which include Nike Sportswear sneakers, have maintained the same standard of excellence. In turn, each when an announcement of a new Union collaboration is made public, expectations are high. The expectations grew higher after the announcement of a new Union x Air Jordan 1 collection, which was revealed late last year however, it was not known to some that the collection is actually in collaboration in conjunction with Bephie’s Beauty Supply, making this the first husband-wife Jordan sneaker collaboration in the history of sneakers.

What makes this collabs more special than the latest Union collab?

A first glimpse of the coming Union Los Angeles x Air Jordan 1 will reveal that a large part of the design in fact very similar to the original design. Chris Gibbs’ vision of merging two pairs into one pair via a haphazard stitching pattern reminiscent of Frankenstein at the ankle gets realized with a striking turquoise threading appears below the Jordan wings logo as well as the UN/LA flap, as and over the tongue. The yellowed interiors of the upper panel are identical to the OG pair, and the ‘BBS’ stitched on the heel is a reference to Gibbs wife Beth and the Bephie’s Beauty Supply brand.

When will the new Air Jordan x Union x Bephie’s Beauty Supply release?

We finally have a release date for this new collab between Jordan brand and Union. The date will be the 26th of August 2023. The retail price of this pair will be $200 USD and they will be releasing via Nike and select Jordan brand and Union retailers.
