The all new Nike Dunk Next Nature collection is set for a re-imagining in the spring, with the release of the retro-themed Nike Dunk Low Next Nature ‘Tapestry’. This distinctive design pays homage to the look of a grandma’s sofa thanks to its intricately woven panels and the charm of an old-fashioned style.
What makes the Nike Dunk Low ‘Tapestry’ so special?
Inspired by the current trend in custom sneakers, Nike has incorporated retro tapestry-inspired elements in this Dunk’s overlays. The striking pattern is a tiki-inspired blend of black, lilac, and green. It’s that is reminiscent of those iconic couches that decorated the living rooms back in the day. The perfect complement to this distinctive look is the hemp upper, which is woven in neutral off-white that is with a contrasting midsole, by identical liners, laces, and midsoles. Nike has included a number of striking black accents in jet black, such as the Swoosh and heels, tongue tags as well as outsoles that finish out the overall look. In addition, the vibrant pinwheel-branded insoles represent the footwear’s dedication to Nike’s environmental initiatives. The end result is an exciting new version of a style, mixing retro appeal with green innovation.
