This year we are going to see a collab between Nike SB and Crenshaw Skate club. The brand was founded by Tobias McIntosh, The Crenshaw Skate Club was founded by Tobias McIntosh in order to promote skaters from the inner cities across the world. The goal of the brand is to help skaters with disadvantaged backgrounds and offer them an opportunity to showcase their skills. The platform is now set to be tenfold more effective, as the brand has joined forces in partnership with Nike Skateboarding to release its exclusive SB Dunk Low.

What makes the Crenshaw Skate Club x Nike SB Dunk Low so special?

A cult figure of the skating world for a long time, first glances at the collar’s puffy-up design and a heavily cushioned silhouette reveal a suede-clad layer, which is then adorned with a dressing of tans. A smooth look is attached to the maroon and olive faded heel counter. The initial pistachio color along the sock liner that has been worn and edge of the tongue. The inside tabs reveal the club’s classic block insignia to the left, and the right is adorned with their signature logo in the color of crimson. They are complemented by black and cream block letter branding on toes, other ornaments aren’t yet chosen, but a palette that is composed of pastels and neutrals is certain to be found in the rest of the SB Dunk Low.

The drama around this release

Unlike other releases and leaks, there has been some drama around this sneaker. What happens to most new releases is that they are leaked to specific channels so we can have some insight and generate hype for new releases. What happened with this sneaker is that an Instagram account named Masterchefian leaked this drop, and the official NikeSB account reacted with not so nice comments. When is the Crenshaw Skate Club x Nike SB Dunk Low set to release?

Unfortunately, the release date is yet to be announced by Nike. But for now, the speculated date is supposed to be in October this year.  They will most likely be released via Nike SB and select skate shops. Retail price will be the same as all other SB dunks, but it can go higher depending on the materials that they used to create this sneaker. Can’t wait? Check out the current Dunks in stock below!
